Job summary

Insurity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst II to join our India office and help deliver customer-focused software solutions for US P&C insurance clients.

In this role you will independently analyze and document complex business, functional, and non-functional requirements, partner with stakeholders through testing and training, and contribute to system design and configuration with mentorship to other team members.

Qualifications

• Five to Eight years of business analysis experience and three plus years of industry experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
• US P&C Insurance industry experience, or completion of required Insurity Academy courses within three months.
• Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
• Strong understanding of business analysis practices, including process analysis, design, and management; change management; meeting facilitation and the ability to present information clearly and articulately.
• Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills, written and oral communication, time management, prioritization, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and evolving environment
• Strong understanding of writing SQL queries and database design concepts
• Nice to have: Related insurance certifications, such as CPCU, CBAP, AINS or a line-of-business-specific certification.
• Ability to complete related insurance certification(s) within two years, as applicable.
• Ability to travel approximately 0–25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Property requirements efforts, including business rules, rating, forms, and testing needs, while partnering with customers, bureaus, product, and delivery teams.
• Independently develop, analyze, and document requirements including business, functional, and non-functional requirements for increasingly complex efforts, with minimal oversight and direction.
• Develop customer-focused documentation for software solutions, including wireframes, use cases, business rules, and related materials.
• Perform and support testing and training activities.
• Perform and coordinate work estimation.
• Support automation and quality improvements.
• Participate in system design and configuration activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the assigned functional area.
• Provide mentorship to team members and help strengthen business analysis practices through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current on industry trends, standards, and best practices through relevant publications, articles, blogs, and other learning resources.
