Software Engineer II Summary

Mid-level software engineer who designs, builds, and delivers features end-to-end with moderate guidance. You'll take ownership of your service area within an established C#/.NET architecture, collaborating across product and engineering teams to drive impact.

What You'll Do

Feature Development & Delivery

Design, build, test, and ship production features using C#/.NET (Core/8+) with moderate autonomy. Own features end-to-end, working with product and design teams to clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Break down assigned work into well-scoped tasks and provide reliable estimates. Deliver high-quality code that adheres to established architectural patterns and coding standards.

Code Quality & Testing

Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using xUnit/NUnit frameworks. Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning from peer reviews. Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain code quality standards aligned with SOLID principles.

Production Support & Reliability

Debug and resolve production issues within your service area. Contribute to system reliability and performance optimization. Participate in on‑call rotations as needed.

Team Growth & Collaboration

Informally mentor Software Engineer I team members, sharing knowledge and best practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex problems. Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling.

What You'll Bring

Experience

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience, primarily in C#/.NET
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, SOLID design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end with moderate guidance

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with ASP.NET Core (Web API/MVC)
• Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data access
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency with Git version control and automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and microservices architecture
• Understanding of REST API design patterns
