Job summary

Rocket India is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer II to design, build, and deliver features end-to-end within a C#/.NET architecture. You will own your service area, collaborate with product and design teams, and ensure high-quality, well-tested code following SOLID principles.

You will contribute to production support, code reviews, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior engineers and helping the team scale practices and tooling.

Qualifications

• 24 years of professional software development experience, primarily in C#/.NET.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, SOLID design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end with moderate guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship production features using C#/.NET (Core/8+) with moderate autonomy
• Own features end-to-end, working with product and design teams to clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Break down assigned work into well-scoped tasks and provide reliable estimates
• Deliver high-quality code that adheres to established architectural patterns and coding standards
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using xUnit/NUnit frameworks
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain code quality standards aligned with SOLID principles
• Debug and resolve production issues within your service area
• Contribute to system reliability and performance optimization
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed
• Informally mentor Software Engineer I team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

Experience

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with ASP.NET Core (Web API/MVC)
• Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data access
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency with Git version control and automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and microservices architecture
• Understanding of REST API design patterns
