At Rocket India, the Principal .Net Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering scalable technology solutions that support our mission to “Help Everyone Home.” This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can independently take a project from concept to delivery, drive engineering excellence, and collaborate across teams to build modern, high-performing applications using .Net, React, Angular, and SQL.

About the Role

Lead end-to-end development of enterprise-grade applications, from requirements analysis and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using .Net technologies, modern front-end frameworks such as React and Angular, and SQL-based databases.

Independently initiate and execute projects from scratch, including architecture decisions, technical planning, coding standards, implementation strategy, and delivery timelines.

Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers while promoting best practices in software design, code quality, performance, and reliability.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to modernize systems, optimize application performance, and improve development efficiency.

Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise engineering standards, security expectations, and scalable delivery practices.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in .Net development, including designing and building scalable backend services and enterprise applications.
• Proven experience with front-end development using React and Angular.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, including database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to independently run a project from scratch, including technical design, development planning, implementation, and delivery.
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, API development, integration patterns, debugging, and production support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to operate with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a principal engineer, lead engineer, or senior technical ownership role.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern deployment approaches.
• Experience designing microservices, distributed systems, or high-volume enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices, observability, application monitoring, and performance engineering.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices.
• Experience working with global teams or supporting enterprise-scale technology platforms.
