Job summary

Volvo Group Digital Technology & Operations is seeking a Software Engineer to own day‑to‑day SaaS operations for Codebeamer and PTC Modeler, ensuring availability, performance, and security across the toolchain. You will work with global stakeholders to translate process needs into scalable configurations and reliable integrations.

You will enable end‑to‑end traceability across requirements, models, and verification, and design integrations with Windchill, Jira, and Jenkins.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating enterprise SaaS platforms in production.
  • Strong experience in system integration using REST APIs and data synchronization.
  • Knowledge of ALM/PLM/MBSE toolchains (Codebeamer, PTC Modeler, Windchill).
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management and security basics.
  • Practical experience with monitoring and operational troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of databases and data modeling (SQL).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD (Jenkins) and Git.
  • Strong stakeholder management and clear English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day SaaS platform operations for Codebeamer and PTC Modeler.
  • Run incident, problem, and change management with root-cause analysis.
  • Plan releases, upgrades, patches, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Own identity/access management integration and governance.
  • Ensure backup, disaster recovery readiness, and security controls.
  • Establish monitoring, dashboards, and runbooks.
  • Design and operate integrations with Windchill, Jira, Jenkins, and test systems.
  • Provide L1 support, user enablement, documentation, and training.

As a Software Engineer in the Requirement Management team, you will own the end-to-end operations, administration, and integration of our SaaS-based engineering toolchain, including Codebeamer and PTC Modeler. You will be accountable for service availability, security, compliance, and performance, and for enabling end-to-end traceability across requirements, models, and verification evidence. You will work closely with global stakeholders (Engineering, Verification, Quality, Cybersecurity, and IT) as well as the DPO/DPM/DPAO and the stable team to translate process needs into scalable configurations and reliable integrations with Windchill, SE tools, Jira, Jenkins, and test/verification systems

Key Responsibilities as Software Engineer
  • Own day-to-day SaaS platform operations for Codebeamer and PTC Modeler, ensuring availability, performance, and stability.
  • Run incident, problem, and change management including root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
  • Plan and execute release, upgrade, and patch management, including validation, stakeholder communication, and rollback planning.
  • Own identity and access management integration (SSO, AD/Entra ID, SAML as applicable) and access governance.
  • Ensure backup/restore and disaster recovery readiness in alignment with internal policies and vendor capabilities.
  • Establish monitoring and observability (logs/metrics/alerts), operational dashboards, and runbooks.
  • Design, implement, and operate integrations with Windchill, SE tools, Jira, Jenkins, and test/verification systems using APIs/scheduled sync.
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability across requirements, models (MBSE), and verification evidence
  • Provide L1 support, user enablement, documentation, and training materials.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience operating enterprise SaaS platforms in production (availability, performance, upgrades, incident/change management).
  • Strong experience in system integration using REST APIs, authentication, and data synchronization.
  • Solid understanding of ALM/PLM/MBSE toolchains (Codebeamer, PTC Modeler, Windchill or similar).
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management (SSO) and security fundamentals.
  • Practical experience with monitoring/logging and operational troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of databases and data modeling (SQL, data consistency, performance troubleshooting).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins) and source control (Git).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate clearly in English in a global environment.
