Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer (Direct Contract) for an on-site role in Hyderabad. You will join a collaborative engineering team to design, develop and maintain software solutions using Azure, C# .NET, MVC/Razor and Web APIs.

The role emphasizes SDLC adherence, quality code, and strong testing practices. You should have 4+ years of hands-on experience with the listed tech stack, solid data structures knowledge, and familiarity with SQL Server/Azure SQL and NoSQL

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on development with Azure, C# .NET, MVC/Razor, and Web APIs.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and RDBMS.
• Experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL/MySQL and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Knowledge of SOLID, OOD, Clean Architecture/Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with ADO.NET/Entity Framework or ORM.
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps or similar tools; Git proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, design, develop and maintain software applications.
• Craft high-performing, reusable code; implement unit tests; conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and QA to build features.
• Engage in SDLC activities to ensure timely delivery of quality software.
• Contribute to test plans and execute functional/integration/system tests.
• Assist in issue resolution and post-release bug fixes; document work.

What you will do:

• Understand business requirements, analyze, design, develop, and maintain software applications.
• Craft high-performing, reusable code, implement unit tests, and engage in code reviews to uphold best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with a team of talented engineers, product managers, quality analysts to build new features and enhancements to Park Place products.
• Play a pivotal role in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure the delivery of high-quality products within planned release cycles.
• Work alongside QA to formulate and review test plans, participate in the execution of functional, integration, system tests, and ensure adherence to acceptance criteria.
• Actively contributing to issue resolution and bug fixes pre and post release.
• Create necessary documentation relating to work produced.
• Foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning within the team while adhering to established team processes.

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ yearsof hands-on development experience usingAzure,C# .NET, MVC/Razor Pages and Web APIs.
• Strong Fundamentals inAlgorithms, Data Structures & RDBMS.
• Experience with relational database likeSQL Server/Azure SQL/MySQL etc.
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals and best practices such as SOLID, Object-Oriented design principles, Clean Architecture/Domain Driven Design.
• Knowledge of ADO.NET/Entity Framework/ any other ORM.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Mongo DB/Azure Cosmos DB etc.
• Understanding of Agile process and experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Understanding of Git concepts such as branching, merging, pull requests, and conflict resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to break complex problems into smaller tasks and manage time effectively.
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude and a growth mindset towards learning new skills.

Bonus Points:

• Relevant certifications such as Azure Fundamentals/Developer/Architect/Administrator etc.
• Prior experience with Event driven architectures, distributed systems and Microservices is a plus.
• Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform, Low Code/No Code solutions.
• Contributions to projects on GitHub, developer communities like Stack Overflow, Microsoft Q&A, published blog posts etc.
• Experience working in a global environment involving multiple development teams across various time zones.
• Prior development experience with Java technologies

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree is preferred.
