Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking an experienced software engineer to help design and ship cloud-native .NET applications on Azure. You will contribute to scalable, high-quality code, implement CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teammates.

You’ll work with frontend frameworks like Angular/React, employ AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, and follow modern DevOps practices within a collaborative, global team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven software development experience and strong design principles.
• 3+ years hands-on development with Angular/React.
• Deep knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
• Experience designing cloud-native solutions on Azure (App Service, Functions, SQL, Storage).
• Strong experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and external system integration.
• Experience with DevOps, IaC, CI/CD, and code review tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA to design features and enhancements for Park Place products.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and participate in reviews.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for .NET apps on Azure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, security, and scalability in Azure.
• Mentor teammates and participate in sprint planning and estimation.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems and automation of business processes.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with a team of talented engineers, product managers, and quality analysts to design technical solutions and build new features and enhancements to Park Place products.
• Craft high‑performing, reusable code, implement unit tests, and engage in code reviews to uphold best practices and industry standards.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment of .NET applications in Azure.
• Strong experience in using AI tools (GitHub Copilot/Cursor).
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide mentorship to team members.
• Participate in sprint planning and provide accurate estimates on projects/tasks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, scalability, and security issues in Azure environments.
• Be an advocate of modern engineering practices & DevOps practices and be available as needed to support production deployments.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy systems and automate business processes.
• Foster collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and continuous learning within the team while adhering to established team processes.
• Assist in supporting, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues, including direct interactions with internal and/or external customers as needed.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• 3+ years of hands‑on development experience with front‑end frameworks like Angular/React, etc.
• In‑depth knowledge of the .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
• Experience designing and building cloud‑native solutions using Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Event Hubs, etc.
• Strong experience in using AI tools GitHub Copilot or Cursor or Claude.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrating with external systems.
• Good understanding of test‑driven development/unit testing frameworks, design patterns, security principles, and best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, configuration management, and continuous integration and deployment.
• Experience with code analysis and review tools, such as SonarQube, CodeClimate, etc.
• Strong knowledge of Git concepts such as branching, merging, pull requests, and conflict resolution.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Bonus Points

• Relevant certifications such as Azure Developer/Architect/Administrator, etc.
• Prior experience with event‑driven architectures, distributed systems, and microservices is a big plus.
• Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform, low‑code/no‑code solutions.
• Contributions to projects on GitHub, developer communities like Stack Overflow, Microsoft Q&A, published blog posts, etc.
• Experience working in a global environment involving multiple development teams across various time zones.
• Prior development experience with Java technologies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree is preferred.
