Job summary

Mobility Global, the S&P Global Mobility unit behind CARFAX and Polk Automotive Solutions, is building a new strategic web platform for Mobility Automotive Insights. As a core engineer you will contribute from ground up, writing production code, designing scalable components, and integrating datasets as the platform grows.

You will design and own microservices on cloud, work hands-on to build reliable services and APIs, and collaborate with product owners and tech leads to clarify

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• 3–5 years of application development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java and multithreading.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Exposure to Gen AI tools and code assistants.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The Team:

We are putting together a new team that would be responsible for developing and supporting a new strategic web platform for Mobility Automotive Insights. It is an exciting opportunity for the team to build a futuristic platform for our clients with Gen AI being a center piece of the capability.

What you will do:

Responsibilities and Impact

As a core engineer on this team, you will be hands‑on in building the new web platform from the ground up — writing production code, designing scalable components, and integrating various datasets as the platform grows.

• Design, implement and own micro services on cloud and emerging technologies
• Work as a hands‑on developer to build scalable, reliable services and APIs
• Work closely with product owners and technology leaders to understand and clarify requirements
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices

What we are looking for:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science
• 3 to 5 years of experience in application development using Core Java
• Good knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Collections and Data Structures
• Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS (EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Exposure to Kubernetes for container orchestration and service deployment
• Exposure to Gen AI tools (e.g., AI-assisted testgeneration,code assistants)
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills

This is a hybrid role with in‑office expectations determined by location and subject to change based on evolving business needs.
