Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks a Java-focused software engineer with 1–3 years of design and development experience. You will work on core Java, Swing, and related technologies for healthcare domain applications, collaborating in a cross-functional team to deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes learning architecture, owning features, and communicating with stakeholders while adhering to Agile processes and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in design and development of software applications and frameworks.
• Excellent programming skills in Core Java and design patterns.
• Deep knowledge in Object-Oriented concepts and experience in implementing the same using Java.
• Strong experience in developing Linux/Unix based desktop applications using Core Java and Java Swing.
• Basic understanding of Angular, Bash Script, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Experience in working with Agile.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge in DICOM.

Responsabilités

• Design and development of applications built on Java technologies for healthcare domain, this is a cross functional activity.
• Should be able to understand/learn architecture and design of existing enterprise applications developed mainly using Core Java/Swing/Java 2D and develop cost effective and sustainable solutions.
• Take ownership of assigned jobs that are part of new feature implementations, bug fixes and enhancement activities
• Technical communication with internal and external stake holders will be part of job

Work Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in design and development of software applications and frameworks.
• Excellent programming skills in Core Java and design patterns -Mandatory
• Deep knowledge in Object-Oriented concepts and experience in implementing the same using Java – Mandatory
• Strong experience in developing Linux/Unix based desktop applications using Core Java and Java Swing- Mandatory
• Basic understanding skills in Angular, Bash Script, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
• Experience in working with Agile
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge in DICOM

Desired Skills

• Familiar with tools like WinScp, Putty, Git, Rally, Collaborator, SVN, ALM, JDICOM/DVT/DCMTK
• Ability to explore large code base and understand architecture and design
• Ability to deliver without much supervision from lead/managers
