Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks experienced software engineers to participate in requirement analysis, design, and development using Java and Angular. The role includes building applications for Medical Devices, learning existing architectures, and delivering cost-effective solutions with ownership of features and fixes.

Candidates should have strong OO concepts, REST API experience, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, JUnit/Mockito testing, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in software design and development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and OO concepts.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
• Familiar with JUnit and Mockito for testing and test automation.
• Linux/Unix development with Core Java.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira/Rally.
• Experience with Java Swing, Angular, Python and C++ is an added advantage.
• Healthcare domain experience with Medical Devices and familiarity with DICOM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement analysis, design, coding and testing (manual and automation).
• Design and develop applications using Angular and Java.
• Develop Java applications for Medical Devices domain.
• Understand/learn architecture of existing enterprise applications and develop cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement analysis, design, coding and testing (manual as well as automation)


• Design and development application using Angular, JAVA


• Design and development applications using Java for Medical Devices domain (Good to have)


• Should be able to understand / learn architecture and design of existing enterprise applications developed mainly using Java and develop cost effective and sustainable solutions


• Take ownership of assigned jobs that are part of new feature implementations, bug fixes and enhancement activities

Work Experience

• 6-9 years of experience in design and development of software applications and frameworks


• Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts and experience implementing them in Java.


• Good understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and service-to-service communication.


• Experience with Jenkins or similar tools for CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.


• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and test automation practices.


• Strong experience in developing Linux/Unix-based applications using Core Java.


• Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and web technology stack.


• Experience working with Agile methodology and tools like Jira/Rally.


• Experience with Java Swing, Angular, Python and C++ is an added advantage.


• Experience in healthcare domain (Medical Devices, Imaging Platforms) and familiarity with DICOM standard is a plus.

Good To Have Skills

• Knowledge in Health Care Standards & regulations like DICOM, FHIR, IHE, HIPPA
