Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a senior software engineer with Java 17+ expertise to design, build, and maintain REST APIs and microservices within a distributed environment. You will contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentoring, ensuring scalable, robust solutions across platforms.

You will work with Spring frameworks, AWS services, and modern tooling such as Docker, Git, and CI/CD to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Java 17+.
• Hands-on with Spring, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS, SQL/NoSQL, and CI/CD workflows.

Roles & Responsibilities

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong Java 17+ expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Java, OOP, SOLID, Collections, Streams, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
• Hands-on experience with Spring frameworks.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices.
• Good understanding of microservice architecture, distributed systems, resiliency, scalability, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS, including services such as S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge; experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases is preferred.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of API security, OAuth2/JWT, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, performance problems, and distributed-system failures.
• Ability to participate in architecture/design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to other engineers.
• Experience using AI tools for software development, including code generation, code review, debugging, test generation, documentation, and developer productivity.
