Job summary

Vestas India, Bangalore or Chennai, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and operate cloud-native data platforms and streaming solutions. You will work with software engineers, platform engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable data products that support Vestas digital transformation.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, deploying on Kubernetes, monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus, performing incident management and RCA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Operations.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD implementations.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Familiarity with data platforms, streaming technologies and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployment processes.
• Deploy, operate, and resolve issues in workloads on Kubernetes platforms.
• Monitor platform health using Grafana, Loki, Prometheus and VictoriaMetrics.
• Perform root cause analysis, incident management, and production support.
• Collaborate with platform teams on architecture, scalability, security, and operations.
• Contribute to automation and infrastructure improvements for reliability and productivity.
• Support platform users with data ingestion, processing and analytics workloads.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and operation of cloud-native data platforms and streaming solutions. You will collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data products that support Vestas digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployment processes
• Deploy, operate, and resolve issues in workloads running on Kubernetes-based platforms
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability using Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics
• Perform root cause analysis, incident management, and production support activities
• Collaborate with platform teams on architecture, scalability, security, and operational excellence
• Contribute to automation and infrastructure improvements that enhance platform reliability and developer productivity
• Support platform users and stakeholders with data ingestion, processing, and analytics workloads

Qualifications

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Similar specialization
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Operations
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD implementations
• Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Experience working with modern data platforms and data warehousing technologies, Snowflake
• Experience with streaming technologies and event-driven architectures, Confluent Kafka
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure Services and Azure DevOps
• Skilled in problem-solving, issue diagnosis, and day-to-day operational support
• Effective collaboration and communication skills in a global environment
