Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in India is seeking a proactive Data Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience building and managing data solutions using Microsoft Azure, SQL, and Power BI, focused on the finance domain. The role includes mentoring a junior Power BI developer and ensuring high-quality dashboard delivery.

You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, write optimized SQL, collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions, and uphold data

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience building and managing data solutions in Azure and SQL.
• Experience delivering dashboards in Power BI with data modeling and DAX.
• Ability to mentor and supervise a junior Power BI developer.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and best practices.

This role also involves mentoring and supervising a junior Power BI developer, ensuring high-quality dashboard delivery and data visualization standards,as well as continually exploring new technoligies to ensure the team is always using the best practivce and delivery tools. This is a hands‑on role based in India but requiring extensive involvement and collaboration with colleagues across VTBA and the broader Atlas Copco Group.

Work Experience

To succeed, you will need:

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position within a complex multi-national organisation.

Skills / Qualification

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage, etc.)
• Solid experience with SQL Server and writing complex queries
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, and dashboard creation
• Ability to mentor and supervise junior team members effectively
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and agile development practices
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
