About the Role
As a junior‑level software engineer, you will coordinate and implement both Android Automotive OS platform features and customer‑facing features of our connected, embedded infotainment system. Candidate should have sound knowledge of Android System and Framework.
- Responsible from requirement analysis till realization of the functionality in Android Automotive domain.
- Develop different modules/components in the Android Automotive system.
- Own multiple components within the Android Automotive system.
- Deliver software for integration.
- Implement defined test strategies and document results.
- Conduct pre‑integration testing and verification for functional areas and their features.
- Maintain traceability, consistency of requirements, and feature maturity.
- Triage and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with other domains to resolve feature and defect dependencies.
- Mentor less experienced team members to ensure timely task completion.
What You Will Do
- Apply solid knowledge of software life‑cycle methodologies and collaborate within an agile, cross‑functional team.
- Exhibit strong leadership, planning, and organization skills.
- Possess expert knowledge of the Automotive Audio Framework, AOSP platform architecture, and related build systems.
- Have 3+ years experience modifying Android Audio framework components, system services, and the Android SDK.
- Understand the Android Automotive System and Car Framework.
- Be proficient with Java, Kotlin, and object‑oriented programming.
- Understand different Android components: Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, Treble Architecture.
What Makes You Eligible
- Hands‑on experience.
- Must understand SDLC and STLC.
- 3‑5 years of experience in audio automotive systems.
Mandatory Skills
- Android Audio Core expertise: Audio Manager/Service, Audio Effect framework, Car Audio Manager/service, Media Session.
- Knowledge of Android 10, 12, 14 audio evolution.
- Languages: Java / C++.
- Tools: Android Studio, SWUT, SWINT, CTS‑Tradefed, VTS‑Tradefed.
- Methodologies: SAF‑agile, ASPICE.
- DevOps: GitLab, Gerrit, Git.
- Audio System Debug expertise: analyze, root‑cause, and fix complex audio bugs from HMI to audio BSP.
- Experience with Audio HAL for emulator, including Audio Effect HAL.
- Knowledge of Google test suite xTS: ATS, CTS, VTS, PCTS.
- Knowledge of Android Auto, Carplay spec, evolution, and integration.
- Nice to have: QEMU, BT audio stack.
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in developing audio automotive systems.
