Job summary

HARMAN Automotive in Bengaluru is seeking an Automotive Engineer with strong C++ Middleware expertise. The role focuses on designing, developing, and testing embedded software components with real-time performance requirements.

The candidate should have 6–8 years in embedded software, 3+ years in Automotive/IVI, and proficiency in C++, C++11 and Android framework. Expected to own middleware modules and collaborate on architecture while mentoring new engineers.

• B-Tech/BE, 6 -8 years' experience in embedded software.
• 3+ years of experience in Automotive and IVI systems.
• Expertise in C++, C++11 fluent in concepts of Design Patterns and android Framework.

About The Role

We are looking for an Automotive Engineer with strong expertise in C++ Middleware. The role involves design, development, and testing of automotive software components with a focus on embedded protocols and real-time performance

What You Will Do

• Will be responsible for implementing the platform software for Middleware and infrastructure
• Will have to contribute to design and Architecture
• Will be responsible for doing customer requirement analysis

What Makes You Eligible

• Contribute to architecture, design and reviews Independently execute module ownership
• Design, Develop and maintain Middleware and infrastructure solutions
• B-Tech/BE, 6 -8 years' experience in embedded software.
• 3+ years of experience in Automotive and IVI systems.
• Expertise in C++, C++11 fluent in concepts of Design Patterns and android Framework.

What You Need To Be Successful

• Shall be aware of Android HAL AOSP architecture.
• Should have excellent debugging skills using GDB, JTAG etc.
• Exposure to JAVA is added advantage
• Should have fluent in reading/understanding hardware block diagrams and schematics
• Experience with embedded application firmware development
• Should be able to work independently, contribute to requirements reviews, analysis of customer change requests
