Job summary

HARMAN Automotive in Bengaluru is seeking an Automotive Engineer with strong expertise in C++ Middleware to design, develop and test embedded software components with real-time performance.

You will own middleware modules, contribute to architecture, analyze customer requirements, and help ramp up new recruits, while expanding your skills across Android HAL and automotive IVI systems. This is an on-site role in Bengaluru with extensive collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• B-Tech/BE, 6-8 years' experience in embedded software.
• 3+ years of experience in Automotive and IVI systems.
• Expertise in C++, C++11 fluent in concepts of Design Patterns and android Framework.
• Contribute to architecture, design and reviews Independently execute module ownership.

Responsibilities

• Implement the platform software for Middleware and infrastructure.
• Contribute to design and Architecture of middleware modules.
• Perform customer requirement analysis and translate into technical specs.
• Help onboard new recruits on the technical front and mentor teammates.
• Independently own and execute core Middleware and infrastructure modules.
• Keep pace with new technologies and apply innovative solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for an Automotive Engineer with strong expertise in C++ Middleware. The role involves design, development, and testing of automotive software components with a focus on embedded protocols and real-time performance

What You will Do

• Will be responsible for implementing the platform software for Middleware and infrastructure
• Will have to contribute to design and Architecture
• Will be responsible for doing customer requirement analysis
• Will have to help ram up new recruits on technical front
• Will be responsible to independently own and execute core Middleware and infrastructure modules
• Should be enthusiastic to learn new technologies also
• Should have an innovative mindset towards problems

What You Need to be Successful

• Shall be aware of Android HAL AOSP architecture.
• Should have excellent debugging skills using GDB, JTAG etc.
• Exposure to JAVA is added advantage
• Should have fluent in reading/understanding hardware block diagrams and schematics
• Experience with embedded application firmware development
• Should be able to work independently, contribute to requirements reviews, analysis of customer change requests
