Job summary

Servify in Mumbai seeks a Software Engineer to build next‑generation services, applying backend and full‑stack expertise to distributed systems for millisecond‑level, highly available performance at internet scale.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, applying SOLID principles and driving scalable components while improving reliability and efficiency across the stack.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of Functional Programming, OOP, and MVC.
• Experience in Insurance, SCMS, and E‑commerce is preferred.
• Experience with Node.js (2–3 years).
• Understanding asynchronous programming and its quirks.

Responsibilities

• Build innovative solutions from scratch and liaise with leads & architects.
• Implement and support compliance of self and team to Servify compliance and information security processes.
• Validate deliverables from security, static code and dynamic analysis.
• Deliver with quality along with completion of unit testing.
• Maintain and audit code quality per set guidelines and standards.
• Test completed tasks in ongoing projects with the team before delivering to QA, focusing on on-time delivery.
• Learn and implement new age technologies like distributed systems on cloud technologies.
• Post production maintenance including monitoring, operations, and maintenance for high availability.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant professional experience
• Advanced understanding of Functional Programming, OOPS, MVC architecture
• Experience in domains such as Insurance, SCMS and E-Commerce is preferred
• Experience in Node JS of 2-3 Year
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Integration of multiple data sources and data bases in to one systemUnderstanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
