Job summary

SpotDraft is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Bengaluru to architect, build, and scale core backend systems. You will lead design of reliable services, scalable APIs, and distributed systems while collaborating with Product and AI teams to deliver high-impact features.

The role requires 4–7 years of backend experience, strong CS fundamentals, and a track record of ownership and architecture decisions in fast-paced SaaS environments. On-site position in Bengaluru with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in backend/software engineering.

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help architect, build, and scale the core systems powering SpotDraft's platform. In this role, you'll lead the development of reliable backend services, scalable APIs, and distributed systems that support our rapidly growing product and customer base.

You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to drive high-impact initiatives, improve platform performance and reliability, and contribute to key architectural and engineering decisions across the platform.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in backend development, distributed systems, and scalable application design, preferably within fast-paced B2B product or SaaS environments. We're looking for engineers with 4-7 years of experience who can take end-to-end ownership, solve complex technical challenges, and help scale both systems and engineering practices at SpotDraft.

What You'll Do

System Design & Architecture

• Design and build scalable backend systems with a strong focus on reliability and performance
