Job summary

AiSensy is seeking a Software Development Engineer II (SDE-2) to join our engineering team and build scalable, reliable, high-performance applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful features while contributing to the technical growth of the team.

As an SDE-2, you will own key modules, participate in system design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and help drive engineering excellence through high-quality code and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on MERN stack experience.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and database design.
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
• Own features and modules end-to-end, from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Build secure, reliable, and high-performance systems capable of handling large-scale traffic.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver product requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high engineering standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Contribute to improving development processes, testing practices, and deployment workflows.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and incident management.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Solid understanding of database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
