About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 2–8 years of experience to help build, automate, and scale our cloud infrastructure. You will play a critical role in improving deployment reliability, system scalability, infrastructure security, and operational excellence.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to build highly available, secure, and resilient infrastructure capable of supporting millions of customer interactions every day.

Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Release Engineering
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Automate application deployment and release processes across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Improve deployment reliability while minimizing downtime and manual intervention.
  • Implement automated testing and deployment best practices.
  • Build, manage, and optimize scalable infrastructure on AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure infrastructure is highly available, secure, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and infrastructure performance.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and environment setup.
  • Maintain version-controlled infrastructure configurations.
Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Management
  • Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or similar tools.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and application performance.
  • Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
  • Improve system reliability, uptime, and observability.
Security & Compliance
  • Implement infrastructure security best practices, including IAM, VPC security, secrets management, and access control.
  • Ensure secure deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurations.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to improve platform security and compliance.
Automation & Scripting
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
  • Build internal tools to simplify deployments, monitoring, infrastructure management, and operational workflows.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes through automation.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers to improve deployment workflows and production readiness.
  • Support engineering teams in debugging infrastructure-related issues.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend DevOps best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, ELB, Route53, Lambda, or similar.
  • Experience with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Shell.
  • Good understanding of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with microservices-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or message queues.
  • Experience managing MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Nginx, reverse proxies, load balancing, and API gateways.
  • Experience with container orchestration and service mesh technologies.
  • AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator) is a plus.
  • Experience working in high-growth SaaS startups.
