Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience in Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar automation tools.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer (Automation) with 2–5 years of experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of AiSensy's web applications, APIs, and platform.

You will primarily focus on automation testing while also performing manual exploratory testing when required. Working closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams, you will help build scalable automation frameworks, improve release quality, and ensure every product release delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate REST API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Generate automation reports and track test execution metrics.

Manual Testing

• Perform exploratory, functional, regression, and usability testing.
• Validate new features before production releases.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and verify bug fixes.
• Prepare detailed bug reports with clear reproduction steps.
• Test REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Validate API responses, authentication, error handling, and business logic.
• Verify backend workflows and data consistency.

Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Review product requirements and identify test scenarios early in the development lifecycle.
• Ensure high product quality before every production release.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to resolve defects quickly.
• Participate in code reviews for test automation.
• Continuously improve QA processes, automation standards, and release quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
• Strong experience in Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar automation tools.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience working in a SaaS or product-based company.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
