Job summary

Idexcel is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to own the full hardware development lifecycle from high-level design to production-ready hardware in Mysuru, with locations including Bangalore and Pune.

The candidate should translate concepts into detailed requirements, design schematics, guide PCB layout, validate hardware, and release documentation into the system. Immediate joining is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• 6–10 years experience in hardware design
• Strong analog & digital design skills
• Experience in power supply design
• Knowledge of SI basics and EMI/EMC practices
• Hands-on debugging with lab tools
• Understanding of PCB manufacturing processes
• Experience in documentation and release process
• Experience in medical domain and PLM tools is a PLUS

Responsibilities

• Understand high-level design inputs and convert them into detailed hardware requirement specifications
• Perform end-to-end hardware design including schematic creation
• Own full lifecycle: requirements design layout testing release
• Oversee PCB layout working closely with CAD engineers
• Ensure signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, and manufacturability
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and validation
• Conduct design reviews and root cause analysis
• Prepare BOM, test procedures, and reports
• Release design documentation into Windchill
• Support prototype build and production issues
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, SI, and manufacturing teams
