Zeno is seeking an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to build and scale automated quality systems across cloud, mobile, and embedded platforms. PYTHON and ASYNCIO skill set is must.

Location: Bengaluru – Work from Office (5 days a week)

The Role

Zeno is looking for a highly skilled SDET with strong programming expertise in Python and Shell scripting to design, build, and maintain scalable test automation systems. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on improving product quality through robust automation, deep system understanding, and tight integration with development workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python and Shell scripting.
• Build automated test suites for APIs, backend services, mobile applications, and embedded systems.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases.
• Develop tools and scripts to improve test efficiency, environment setup, and debugging.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded early in the development lifecycle.
• Drive test coverage across unit, integration, regression, and system levels.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and contribute to long‑term quality improvements.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt modern testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

What You Bring

• 2-6 years of experience in Software Testing / SDET roles.
• Strong programming skills in asyncio Python and working knowledge of Shell scripting (Bash).
• Hands‑on experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing REST APIs, backend systems, and/or mobile applications.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, debugging, and system design basics.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, Appium, or similar).

Good to Have

• Experience with embedded systems testing or hardware‑software integration.
• Exposure to cloud‑native architectures and microservices.
• Background in Automotive, EV, Telecom, or Industrial domains.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
• Work with cutting‑edge EV and battery technologies.
