Job summary

SolarSquare is seeking an experienced SDET-3 to join its Quality Engineering team in India. You will design, build, and scale automation frameworks from scratch and own automated test strategies across Web, Mobile, and API platforms.

The role requires hands-on Playwright web automation, REST Assured API testing, and strong Java coding skills. You will drive CI/CD integration, mentor junior QA engineers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 46 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong programming experience in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Mobile Automation (Android/iOS).
• Strong experience in API Automation using REST Assured.
• Mandatory experience with Playwright for web automation.
• Proven experience in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of automation framework architecture, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for Web, Mobile, and API applications.
• Build and maintain API automation suites using REST Assured.
• Develop end-to-end web automation using Playwright (mandatory).
• Create and maintain mobile automation frameworks for Android and/or iOS applications.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and developing scalable automation solutions across web, mobile, and APIs. This role requires hands-on experience in building automation frameworks from scratch, implementing robust testing strategies, and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
