M&G India is expanding its Software Asset Management (SAM) team to manage the software estate across Mumbai and Pune. The role focuses on entitlement, deployment and usage data to ensure accurate software asset visibility and license compliance.

Responsibilities include data preparation for renewals, audits and true-ups, plus generating SAM reports and insights for stakeholders. The candidate will collaborate with procurement and technology teams to drive continuous improvement.

• Identify optimisation opportunities through usage analysis, re-harvesting, licence rationalisation and cost avoidance.

• Respond to stakeholder queries and provide timely SAM reporting, insights and operational support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain software entitlement, deployment and usage data to support an accurate view of M&G s software estate.
• Support licence compliance through reconciliation, exception analysis and risk identification.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support consistent application of SAM processes, controls and governance.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Technology and suppliers on SAM activities and issue resolution.
• Manage SAM tickets in line with agreed service expectations.
• Support continuous improvement of SAM practices, documentation and ways of working.
