Panorbit is seeking a Social Media Scout in Bengaluru to own the social calendar and manage publishing, captions, and community on Instagram and other platforms.

You’ll scout trends, identify creators early, and translate insights into brand ideas while collaborating with designers, writers, and marketers. LinkedIn and YouTube knowledge is a plus, and the role is based in Bengaluru with onsite work.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Scout who understands Instagram better than they probably should, and Bengaluru beyond what Google Maps can tell you.

Someone who knows what people are watching, sharing and talking about. Someone who spots a Reel format before every brand jumps onto it, discovers creators before they become mainstream, and understands the little cultural moments that make Bengaluru, Bengaluru.

This is a hands-on social media role with Instagram at its core. You’ll manage publishing, community, trends and day-to-day platform activity while constantly scouting for what our brands should be doing next. LinkedIn and YouTube are important add-on skills.

What You’ll Do1. Own the Social Calendar

• Manage publishing schedules, captions and content across Instagram and other relevant social platforms.
• Maintain content calendars while leaving enough room for reactive and trend-led content.
• Coordinate with copywriters, designers, filmmakers and marketing teams to get content out on time.
• Ensure every account remains active, relevant and consistent.

2. Scout the Internet

Scrolling is part of the job. Knowing what to do with what you find is the actual job.

• Track emerging Reel formats, trending audio, memes, creators and conversations.
• Keep an eye on platform and algorithm changes.
• Identify trends early and translate them into relevant ideas for brands.
• Regularly bring actionable content ideas and references to the creative team.
• Know when a brand should jump onto a trend and, equally importantly, when it shouldn’t.

3. Know Bengaluru

We want someone who genuinely understands the city and its culture.

Keep track of Bengaluru’s creators, neighbourhoods, cafés, events, college culture, startup ecosystem, food, music, films, communities and internet conversations.

If something interesting is beginning to happen in Bengaluru, there’s a good chance you should already know about it.

4. Manage the Community

• Own comments, DMs and everyday audience interactions.
• Respond in the right brand voice and keep conversations active.
• Identify recurring conversations, audience behaviour and potential brand advocates.
• Help our brands feel human rather than like scheduled content feeds.

5. Understand What’s Working

• Track reach, engagement, watch time, retention, shares, saves and follower behaviour.
• Use Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite and other platform analytics.
• Prepare regular performance reports with clear observations.
• Go beyond reporting numbers and help answer: What worked? What didn’t? Why? And what do we try next?
