- Boxout.fm – the online radio station (ceased broadcasting operations in 2022)
- Event and festival organizer – including weekly event Boxout Wednesdays, Like Glue and Jazz Weekender music festival

Key responsibilities:
The Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and amplifying Boxout.fm’s online presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive community engagement, grow our digital reach, and strengthen our brand identity across platforms.
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with the company’s goals, events, and campaigns.
- Stay ahead of digital trends and recommend innovative approaches for content and engagement.
Content Creation and Management:
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content (text, images, video, stories, reels, etc.) across Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, Mixcloud, and LinkedIn.
- Ensure brand voice and visuals remain consistent across all platforms.
- Collaborate with the creative team, artists, and partners for campaign assets.
Community Engagement:
- Manage daily interactions with followers, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
- Foster a strong sense of community among listeners, artists, and partners.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Track performance metrics, analyze campaign results, and create regular reports.
- Use insights to optimize strategy, improve engagement, and grow audiences.
Campaign & Event Support
- Coordinate digital campaigns around events, releases, and festivals.
- Work closely with the events and partnerships teams to ensure cohesive online promotion.
- Liaise with internal teams (events, artist management, partnerships) to align messaging.
- Manage relationships with external partners, influencers, and digital collaborators.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (Required)
- 5-6 years of senior‑level experience
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or cultural entity.
- Experience in music, business, or entertainment industry is mandatory
- Strong understanding of major platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, Mixcloud, and LinkedIn) and their best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic graphic design/video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Familiarity with analytics and scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Passion for alternative music, creative culture, and community building
- Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
