Job summary

Tenneco in Pune is seeking an Application & Product Engineering professional to focus on hot gaskets, cold gaskets, and heat shields. The role involves studying environments, preparing part drawings, and proposing designs for customer review.

You will coordinate manufacturing feasibility, finalize DVPs, and engage with sales and production teams to drive opportunities. Additionally, you will benchmark competitors, participate in White Space analyses, and maintain IATF/PPAP documentation within

Responsibilities

• Study and prepare part drawings considering engine/package boundary conditions.
• Work out design proposals, review with the global team and submit to customer.
• Coordinate for manufacturing feasibility.
• Finalize DVP with customers.
• Coordinate with customers – sales team and internal departments like purchase, production, quality, maintenance.
• Visit customers to generate new business opportunities and address functional quality issues.
• Benchmark competitor parts and participate in White Space analysis with team.
• Handle IATF documentation for Engineering department and APQP/PPAP processes.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POSTION

• Study and understand application environment for all HOT gaskets, Cold Gaskets and Heat shields
• Study / prepare part drawings considering engine /package boundary conditions
• Work out design proposals, review with the global team and submit to customer
• Co-ordinate for manufacturing feasibility
• DVP finalization with customers
• Co-ordinate with the customers – sales team- internal departments like purchase, production, quality, maintenance
• Return Part analysis
• Visiting customers as per calendar to generate new business opportunities
• Visiting customers to attend functional quality issues
• Benchmarking of competitor parts
• Participate in White Space analysis with team
• Knowledge & capability to handle IATF systems/documentation responsibility for Engineering dept.
• Working knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes.
