Position: Asst. Manager – Repair Engineering

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading a team of repair engineers working on improving process engineering capabilities in order to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization
• Manage, train, and mentor a team of electronic repair technicians and engineers. Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Develop, implement, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic issues (e.g., SMT, wave soldering, system integration).
• Provide expert, hands‑on technical guidance for complex or recurring problems, applying methodologies like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and FMEA to prevent future failures.
• Oversee the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment. Manage the repair department's budget, track expenses, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, equipment performance metrics (e.g., Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), downtime), and compliance reports.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
