Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMT machines and equipment.
• Handle machine breakdowns and ensure quick troubleshooting and restoration of machines.
• Identify machine faults and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• End-to-end knowledge of the SMT process from PCB loading to soldering and inspection.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure smooth SMT line operation.
• Carry out regular inspection, servicing, calibration and maintenance of SMT machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic issues.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality during breakdowns and process issues.
• Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns and spare parts.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related discipline.
• Candidates with relevant hands-on SMT maintenance experience will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in SMT machine maintenance in the Electronics Manufacturing Industry.
• Hands-on experience in SMT production line maintenance and breakdown handling is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMT machines and equipment.
• Handle machine breakdowns and ensure quick troubleshooting and restoration of machines.
• Identify machine faults and perform corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Possess end-to-end knowledge of the SMT process, from PCB loading through component placement, soldering and inspection.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure smooth operation of the SMT production line.
• Carry out regular inspection, servicing, calibration and maintenance of SMT machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic-related machine issues.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams during machine breakdowns and process-related issues.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, spare parts and machine history.
• Identify recurring machine problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure machines are maintained as per required safety and operational standards.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of SMT machines and maintenance activities.
• Good understanding of SMT process flow.
• Hands-on experience in breakdown troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand machine-related manuals, drawings and technical documents.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts, if required.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in SMT machine maintenance, breakdown handling, preventive maintenance and end-to-end SMT process operations will be preferred.
