Job summary

Uno Minda Limited is seeking a SMT - Maintenance Engineer in Bengaluru. The role requires hands-on SMT machine operation, maintenance, and knowledge of pneumatic circuits, PLC/HMI, and HVAC systems.

You will ensure on-time maintenance, drive defect reduction, and keep accurate documentation while pursuing power and cost-saving improvements. The ideal candidate has experience with SMT processes, fixtures, jigs, spare management, and ISOTS/EMS audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SMT machine operation and maintenance is required.
• Hands-on mechanical modification or correction experience.
• Experience with pneumatic circuits and troubleshooting.
• Solid SMT process knowledge and related workflows.
• Mechanical knowledge of fixtures and jigs for SMT setups.
• Spare parts management as per requirements is expected.
• Experience in reducing mounting defects and implementing precautions.
• Familiarity with ISOTS/EMS audit systems.
• AOI and mounting machine programming knowledge.
• Breakdown analysis experience for special purpose machines.
• Ensure on-time maintenance completion and proper documentation.
• Safety systems awareness and safe work environment.
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems for operation and maintenance.
• Ideas generation for power saving, cost saving and quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SMT machines and ensure smooth production flow.
• Carry out mechanical adjustments and fault rectifications on equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic circuits and repair as needed.
• Oversee SMT processes and optimize cycles for quality.
• Maintain fixtures and jigs to support production needs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement per requirement.
• Reduce mounting defects through preventive measures.
• Support ISOTS/EMS audit readiness and compliance.
• Program AOI and mounting machines as required.
• Perform breakdown analysis and implement fixes quickly.
• Ensure timely maintenance completion with proper records.
• Maintain safety systems and enforce safe work practices.
• Understand PLC/HMI for troubleshooting and control.
• Oversee HVAC operations for facility reliability.
• Propose power-saving and cost-saving improvements.
