Job summary

Axis Bank is seeking a Manager to support the RB Liabilities & DB Products team, developing a deep understanding of the products and coordinating with multiple functions to drive strategic initiatives.

The role requires strong research, analytical, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leadership including Group Head and MD. Experience in BFSI and product/project management will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification from a recognised institution.
• Academic background, experience or strong understanding of BFSI.
• Understanding of retail banking, liability products or product/project management will be an advantage.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the RBI Liabilities & DB Products team offerings.
• Create accurate, management-ready PowerPoint presentations and Excel analyses for senior leadership.
• Coordinate with Product, Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Finance and branches to progress projects.
• Maintain project governance including plans, trackers, minutes, approvals and escalation of risks.

Job description

The Manager will support the RB Liabilities & DB Products team at Axis Bank, contributing to a range of strategic and execution-oriented initiatives across the Banks products and services. This role involves developing a strong understanding of products such as lockers and other offerings managed by the team, supporting projects based on evolving business requirements, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders for effective implementation. The position requires strong research, analytical, communication, and presentation skills, as key insights and project updates may be presented to senior leadership, including the Group Head, Managing Director, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Product and Business Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products, services, processes and customer propositions managed by the RB Liabilities & DB Products team.
• Management Presentations: Develop accurate, clear and management-ready PowerPoint presentations, Excel analyses, trackers and executive summaries for review by the Group Head, Managing Director and senior leadership, as required.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with Product, Business, Operations, Technology, BSG, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, Treasury, branches, external vendors and other stakeholders to progress projects and close dependencies.
• Project Governance: Maintain project plans, action trackers, minutes of meetings, approvals, status updates and supporting documentation, and highlight risks, delays and decisions requiring escalation.

Role Proficiencies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team and collaborate across functions to achieve project outcomes.
• Confidence in holding structured discussions, following up on dependencies and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced working proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to convert analysis into concise, visually clear and decision-oriented outputs.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise deliverables and work within timelines in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Postgraduate qualification from a recognised institution.
• Academic background, experience or strong understanding of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI).
• Understanding of retail banking, liability products, digital journeys or product/project management will be an advantage.
