Job summary

Kaahlian Technology is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead day-to-day field operations for Skill Development projects across multiple locations in India. You will supervise field teams, ensure centres meet guidelines, and drive project execution.

  • Knowledge of PMKVY, DDU-GKY, NSDC and CSR-funded schemes is a plus.
  • Ability to travel extensively and manage multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations of Skill Development projects across locations.
  • Visit training centres to monitor implementation and performance.
  • Ensure centres follow project guidelines, timelines, and requirements.
  • Monitor infrastructure, classrooms, attendance, trainers, and student records.
  • Identify field-level issues and initiate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Centre Managers and field teams for smooth execution.
  • Track centre-wise performance and target achievement.
  • Coordinate with training partners and project teams to resolve challenges.
  • Prepare and present MIS reports and project progress updates.

Job description

1. Field Operations Management
  • Manage and supervise day-to-day field operations of Skill Development projects across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular visits to training centres to monitor project implementation and operational performance.
  • Ensure training centres operate according to project guidelines, targets, timelines, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor infrastructure, equipment, classrooms, attendance, trainers, student records, documentation, and centre activities.
  • Identify field-level operational issues and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Coordinate with Centre Managers and field teams for smooth project implementation.
  • Monitor centre-wise performance and ensure achievement of assigned targets.
  • Travel extensively to project locations for centre visits, inspections, operational reviews, meetings, and monitoring activities.
2. Skill Development Project Operations
  • Manage operational activities related to PMKVY, DDU-GKY, NSDC, RPL, NULM, State Skill Development Missions, and other Government/CSR-funded Skill Development projects.
  • Monitor the complete operational cycle from mobilization and enrolment to training, assessment, certification, and placement.
  • Ensure project activities are completed within prescribed timelines.
  • Track project targets, milestones, deliverables, and centre-wise performance.
  • Coordinate with Training Partners and project teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Support the Project Head in implementing project strategies and achieving project objectives.
3. Student & Training Operations
  • Monitor student mobilization, enrolment, attendance, training, assessment, certification, and placement activities.
  • Track batch formation, training schedules, attendance, and training completion.
  • Coordinate with Mobilization Teams to achieve enrolment and mobilization targets.
  • Monitor student attendance and identify issues affecting training completion.
  • Coordinate with assessment agencies and relevant stakeholders for assessments and certifications.
  • Monitor placement activities and ensure placement-related targets are followed.
  • Develop and implement corrective strategies wherever student or project performance is below target.
4. Team Management
  • Manage and supervise Centre Managers, Trainers, Mobilization Executives, Placement Executives, and Field Operations Teams.
  • Allocate responsibilities and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
  • Set operational targets and regularly review target achievement.
  • Conduct regular field and team review meetings.
  • Guide and train field teams regarding project processes, operational requirements, and reporting procedures.
  • Identify underperformance and take appropriate corrective measures.
  • Escalate major operational issues to the Project Head / Management.
5. Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure training centres follow applicable Government, NSDC, SSC, PMKVY, DDU-GKY, RPL, State Mission, CSR, and project-specific guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Quality/Inspection Teams during centre inspections, audits, and assessments.
  • Identify compliance gaps and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor the quality of training delivery and centre operations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of student records, attendance, training records, and project documentation.
  • Ensure centres remain prepared for inspections, audits, assessments, and other project reviews.
6. Advanced MIS, Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect, verify, analyse, and consolidate field-level data from multiple training centres.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and project-wise MIS reports.
  • Track centre-wise and project-wise mobilization, enrolment, attendance, training, assessment, certification, placement, and target achievement.
  • Prepare management dashboards and performance reports for project review meetings.
  • Analyse operational data to identify performance gaps, trends, delays, and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Prepare field visit reports, centre performance reports, attendance reports, mobilization reports, placement reports, project progress reports, and management MIS.
  • Present project performance and operational data to the Project Head and Management.
7. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate with Government Departments, NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, Training Partners, Centre Managers, Trainers, Assessment Agencies, Placement Partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings, field reviews, and stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Maintain professional communication and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Resolve field-level operational and coordination issues.
  • Support senior management in project reviews and stakeholder presentations.
