Job summary

Burckhardt Compression seeks a Mechanical Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Pune to contribute to thermal and structural analyses, skid dynamics, and plant layout reviews. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and adherence to IMS procedures as part of daily technical support.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with good academics and 2+ years of experience.
• Familiar with API, ASME, ASTM, DIN, ASCE standards.
• Fundamental knowledge of compressors, thermodynamics, mechanics and acoustics.
• Knowledge of piping and support arrangements, P&ID, and general arrangement drawings.
• Knowledge of German will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and piping flexibility analysis, wind, seismic, and similar analyses.
• Perform skid lifting analysis and skid dynamic analysis.
• Participate in Plant Layout Reviews to ensure compliance with thermal/piping flexibility and vibration studies.
• Provide technical support and advice to internal and external customers on compressor performance issues.
• Collaborate with global counterparts and stakeholders to share lessons learned and drive improvements.
• Maintain IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures.

Job description

• Thermal and Structural Analysis: Perform thermal/piping flexibility analysis, wind, seismic,and similar analyses.
• Skid Analysis: Perform skid lifting analysis and skid dynamic analysis.
• Plant Layout Review: Participate and provide technical input and guidance during Plant Layout Reviews to ensure compliance with respect to thermal and piping flexibility requirement along with Pulsation & Vibration study recommendations, thereby enhancing plant safety, operability and overall plant layout optimization.
• Technical Support and Advice: Provide technical support and advice to internal and external customers regarding performance, Thermal issues with compressors during their runtime. Support the resolution of field complaints, including site visits as necessary. Support to Service team to check suitability of the original compressor for the revamp job specification and recommend most economical solution to suit Client needs.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong collaboration with global counterparts and other stakeholders. Share lessons learnt, ideas & contribute to continuous improvements.
• System support: Maintain and adhere IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures.

Education, Experience and Languages:
