Job summary

Ganpati Bharat in India seeks a field Survey Engineer to perform accurate highway surveying, setting-out, level checks, and data collection for projects.

You will read drawings, calculate earthwork, prepare as-built data, and coordinate with design, planning, QA/QC and execution teams. Diploma or degree in civil/survey engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil or Survey Engineering.
• Experience in highway surveying and setting-out is desirable.
• Proficient in reading highway drawings and coordinate systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical, alignment, longitudinal and cross-section surveys.
• Carry out setting-out of highway alignment, structures, culverts, bridges, drains and retaining walls.
• Establish and maintain TBM, BM, coordinates and benchmarks at site.
• Check RL, formation level, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM and BC levels.
• Prepare as-built survey drawings/data after completion of works.
• Coordinate with design, planning, QA/QC and execution teams for survey requirements.
• Maintain survey records, field books, level sheets and measurement data.
• Identify discrepancies between design and actual site conditions and report to engineer.

Job Purpose

Responsible for accurate surveying, setting-out, level checking, quantity support and as-built survey for highway construction works as per approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical, alignment, longitudinal and cross-section surveys.
• Carry out setting-out of highway alignment, structures, culverts, bridges, drains and retaining walls.
• Establish and maintain TBM, BM, coordinates and benchmarks at site.
• Check RL, formation level, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM and BC levels.
• Conduct survey for Minor Bridges, Box Culverts, Pipe Culverts, Retaining Walls and other structures.
• Read and understand Highway & Structural drawings, chainage, coordinates, levels and design profiles.
• Prepare and verify L-Section, Cross-Section and design profiles.
• Calculate earthwork and support quantity measurements.
• Prepare as-built survey drawings/data after completion of works.
• Coordinate with Design, Planning, QA/QC and Execution teams for survey requirements.
• Maintain survey records, field books, level sheets and measurement data.
• Identify discrepancies between design and actual site conditions and report to the concerned engineer.

Qualification
