Job summary

JAKSON Group is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of solar power plants in Karnataka, India. The role focuses on maximizing energy generation, ensuring safety, and coordinating site personnel and contractors.

You will monitor KPIs, supervise maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while preparing ongoing performance reports and engaging with utilities, clients, and OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of solar PV power plants to ensure safe and reliable performance.
• Monitor plant performance, generation, and KPIs to maximize energy yield.
• Plan and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead and manage site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and company policies.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and timely resolution of plant equipment failures.
• Monitor SCADA data and identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain site documentation, maintenance records, operating logs, and equipment history.
• Coordinate spare parts inventory and procurement of maintenance materials.
• Manage vegetation control, module cleaning, security, and housekeeping activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and performance reports.
• Coordinate with utility companies, clients, OEMs, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Support warranty claims, vendor management, and annual maintenance contracts.
• Participate in plant audits, inspections, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure statutory compliance and support regulatory reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

The Site Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of solar power plants. The role ensures maximum plant availability, optimal energy generation, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and efficient management of site personnel, contractors, and maintenance activities.

Work Experience

• Manage the day-to-day operations of solar PV power plants to ensure safe and reliable performance.
• Monitor plant performance, generation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize energy yield.
• Plan and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead and manage site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and company policies.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and timely resolution of plant equipment failures.
• Monitor the performance of inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA systems, weather stations, and balance-of-system equipment.
• Review SCADA data and identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain site documentation, maintenance records, operating logs, and equipment history.
• Coordinate spare parts inventory and procurement of maintenance materials.
