Job summary

Siemens is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager in India to lead on-site installation, testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substations up to 220kV AIS/GIS on construction sites. The role requires strong coordination with multiple stakeholders and strict adherence to safety and design standards.

The candidate will review drawings, manage daily site activities, and ensure successful energization and handover to the client, bringing 10+ years of electrical engineering and site management

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or Diploma with 12+ years in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as Site Manager or similar role with construction practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan site activities and prepare daily work schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate with back office, site team, client, consultants and contractors for smooth execution.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with EHS policies and regulations on site.
• Provide regular progress updates and flag potential issues.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substation systems.
• Review drawings and method statements for design plan compliance; prepare as-built drawings.
• Ensure energization and handover of systems to client.

Job Description

Position: Electrical Site Manager

Requirement: We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our project execution team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and supervision of on-site installation, testing & commissioning of HV & EHV electrical substation. Primarily for up to 220kV AIS/GIS electrical substation projects on construction sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning site activities and preparing work schedule for daily monitoring and customer submission. Prepare and maintain documentation required as per site & site requirement.
• Coordination with back office, site team, customer, consultants, contractor etc as required to ensure smooth execution of site activities.
• Monitoring & maintaining company's EHS policies & other mandatory EHS requirements and explaining the necessity of complying the EHS requirements to the team & workers working under the team.
• Providing regular updates on project progress, highlighting any potential issues or challenges.
• Ensuring successful installations, testing & commissioning of the system.
• Reviewing drawings and installation method statements to ensure they comply with the design plan. Ensuring as-built drawing are prepared in time and marked up drawing submission to project & engineering team.
• Ensuring trouble free energization of system.
• Successful handing over of the system to the client or end-user.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• BE/BTech engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field OR Diploma engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as Site Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of construction practices.
• Proficiency in using MS excel, words and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
