Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Site Manager to lead on-site installation, testing and commissioning of HV and EHV substations up to 220kV AIS/GIS. You will oversee day-to-day site activities, ensure safety, quality and schedule alignment, and collaborate with back office, clients, consultants and contractors.

The role requires a BE/BTech (or Diploma) with extensive site management experience, strong MS Office skills, and proven ability to manage complex electrical projects on construction

Qualifications

• BE/BTech engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Diploma engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as Site Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of construction practices.
• Proficiency in using MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Planning site activities and preparing work schedule for daily monitoring and customer submission.
• Coordination with back office, site team, customer, consultants, contractor etc as required to ensure smooth execution of site activities.
• Monitoring & maintaining company's EHS policies & other mandatory EHS requirements and explaining the necessity of complying the EHS requirements to the team & workers working under the team.
• Providing regular updates on project progress, highlighting any potential issues or challenges.
• Ensuring successful installations, testing & commissioning of the system.
• Reviewing drawings and installation method statements to ensure they comply with the design plan. Ensuring as-built drawing are prepared in time and marked up drawing submission to project & engineering team.
• Ensuring trouble free energization of system.
• Successful handing over of the system to the client or end-user.

Job Description

Position: Electrical Site Manager

Requirement: We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our project execution team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and supervision of on-site installation, testing & commissioning of HV & EHV electrical substation. Primarily for up to 220kV AIS/GIS electrical substation projects on construction sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination with back office, site team, customer, consultants, contractor etc as required to ensure smooth execution of site activities.
