Job summary

SYSTRA is hiring a Site Engineer-Telecommunication System to support Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail project. The role focuses on design review, installation, testing, commissioning and interface activities for telecom systems at site.

You will assist senior experts, coordinate with rolling stock, signaling, and SCADA interfaces, and help obtain approvals while supporting contractor payments and project closure.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics.
• 05 years (BE/B.Tech) or 07 years (Diploma) of telecom system implementation in rail-based projects.
• Experience in telecom design review and installation during construction.
• Experience with High-Speed Rail / Metro projects per criteria.
• Knowledge of interfaces with rolling stock and signaling systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design review of telecom backbone and data transmission systems.
• Assist in installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
• Assist interfacing telecom with rolling stock, signaling, and SCADA.
• Assist in preparing payment requests to contractors.
• Assist NHSRCL with statutory approvals and liaise with agencies.
• Support PD and Client for project completion.

Hiring for Project Management Consultancy Services for Works of Signalling & Telecommunication System, SCADA System, and Ticketing System of Mumbai – Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project

Location: Site

Missions/Main Duties

>Assist Chief Expert and Dy. Chief Expert in performing tasks that includes the following but not limited to:

• Assist in Design review of Telecom System including sub systems for backbone of data transmission from field units to centralized control centres (DTS), Wireless Network, CCTV, Access Control, PIDS, PAS, Master Clock, EPBAX, Telecom SCADA etc.
• Assist in Installation, Integration, Testing & Commissioning of Telecom System.
• Assist in Interfacing of Telecom System with Rolling Stock, Signalling Subsystems, MEP, SCADA etc. and Interface document approval.
• Assist in verifying completed work and prepare request for payment to contractors.
• Assist NHSRCL in obtaining statutory approvals.
• Assist and coordinate with various agencies i.e. ISA, CMRS etc. for successful completion of the project.
• Assist in any other roles and responsibilities required to be performed to complete the project and assigned by PD and Client(NHSRCL).

>Assist Section Engineer in their assigned works.

>Any other work required to be performed to complete the project.

Profile/Skills

Min. Qualification: Engineering Graduate (B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics stream or equivalent )

Min. Experience: Engineering Graduate with 05 years, or Engineering Diploma with 07 years of experience of implementing Telecommunication System during construction phase in Rail-based Transit System project(s)*.

*Rail-based Transit System project(s) shall mean High-Speed Railways / Semi High-Speed Railways / Metro Railways projects as defined below:

• High-Speed Railways projects (ETCS based) with operational speed equal or greater than 250 Kmph shall only be considered for evaluation.
• Semi High-Speed Railways including Urban/Suburban/ Intercity/ Regional Passenger Transit Systems, projects with operational speed equal to or greater than 160 Kmph shall only be considered for evaluation.
• Metro Railways excluding LRT/Tram/Monorail Systems, projects shall only be considered for evaluation.
