We are looking for a Site Engineer / Planner responsible for supporting the Site Project Manager in end-to-end project execution, site planning, installation supervision, quality control, safety compliance, manpower coordination, and daily progress tracking.
The ideal candidate should have strong site execution knowledge, the ability to read engineering drawings and BOQs, coordinate site teams, monitor installation activities, and ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, SOPs, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Site Supervision
- Support the Site Project Manager in end-to-end project execution and site activities.
- Manage day-to-day site operations in the absence of the Site Project Manager.
- Study drawings, BOQs, layouts, method statements, SOPs, and installation sequences before commencement of work.
- Ensure installation activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with captains, installers, helpers, technicians, and equipment operators.
- Allocate daily work fronts, manpower, tools, and materials.
- Monitor daily installed quantities, productivity, pending scope, and overall site progress.
Setting Out & Installation Quality
- Set out grids, reference lines, anchor locations, installation levels, and other required site references.
- Check plumbness, alignment, levels, bay spacing, bracing, component fitment, and installation accuracy.
- Conduct and record quality measurements and first-bay approvals.
- Identify and report drawing mismatches, site constraints, deviations, and quality issues immediately.
- Ensure no unapproved changes are made to drawings, components, specifications, or installation sequences.
Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Prepare daily inputs for DPRs, including:
- Manpower deployment
- Daily output/installed quantity
- Material received and consumed
- Material shortages
- Equipment availability
- Site issues and constraints
- Pending activities
- Next-day work plan
- Maintain daily progress records, site photographs, quality documentation, and milestone status.
- Update project progress and site activities in the project-management/digital reporting system.
- Identify potential schedule delays and elevate risks to the Site Project Manager.
Material & Inventory Management
- Verify material receipts against dispatch documents and approved requirements.
- Report material shortages, damages, incorrect components, or discrepancies.
- Maintain proper material laydown, segregation, housekeeping, and site inventory.
- Ensure materials and components are available at the required work fronts to avoid installation delays.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure site crews follow approved installation SOPs, method statements, ITPs, checklists, and work sequences.
- Maintain site quality records, inspection reports, checklists, snag lists, and as-built inputs.
- Identify snags and deviations at an early stage and coordinate with the site team for timely closure.
- Support final inspection, customer walkthroughs, handover documentation, and project demobilisation.
HSE / Safety
- Support implementation of HSE requirements at site.
- Conduct/support toolbox talks and PPE compliance checks.
- Ensure permit-to-work requirements, barricading, work-at-height controls, and other safety procedures are followed.
- Immediately stop and elevate unsafe work or quality-critical deviations.
- Promote safe working practices among site teams and installation crews.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with the client's site team regarding access, work areas, approvals, inspections, and local site constraints.
- Maintain effective communication with the Site PM, client representatives, installation teams, and other stakeholders.
- Escalate risks related to schedule, safety, quality, cost, or customer satisfaction without delay.
Team Training & Development
- Train captains and site crews on correct installation methods, quality standards, SOPs, and digital reporting requirements.
- Guide site teams on proper work sequencing, quality checks, and productivity expectations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of site execution and installation activities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, layouts, and installation drawings.
- Knowledge of site planning, manpower planning, material planning, and progress tracking.
- Understanding of quality inspection, ITPs, checklists, snag management, and as-built documentation.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements, PPE, toolbox talks, work-at-height safety, and permit systems.
- Strong coordination and team-management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, DPR preparation, and project-management/digital reporting tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates with experience in site execution, installation, construction, engineering projects, structural installation, industrial projects, or similar project environments will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working at project sites and coordinating with multiple site teams.
- Willingness to travel/relocate to project sites as required.
