Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil in India seeks a Senior Structural NDT Engineer with 10+ years in NDT and design review to lead visual inspections of structural steel and assess defects.

You will prepare inspection reports, develop asset lists, coordinate with NDT teams, provide distress mapping sketches, and recommend repair methods with BOQ and construction specs.

Qualifications

• M.Tech Civil degree with minimum 10 years in NDT and design review.
• Proven track record in structural inspections and reporting.
• Experience coordinating with NDT technicians and drafting teams.

Major Responsibilities

Structural Inspection & Assessment:

• Conduct visual inspection of all structural steel components
• Identify defects due to overloading, design deficiencies, settlement, and thickness loss
• Assess extent of corrosion in steel structures
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and asset documentation

Reporting & Documentation:

• Create visual inspection reports
• Develop asset lists with dimensions and classification (load-bearing, non-load-bearing, etc.)
• Coordinate with NDT technicians to compile NDT reports and technical inferences
• Provide sketches for layout and distress mapping
• Recommend suitable repair/strengthening methodologies with detailed BOQ, specifications, and construction chemicals

Drawing Support:

• Assist drafting personnel with layout sketches where drawings are unavailable
• Support creation of distress mapping drawings highlighting defective areas

Qualification :

M.Tech Civil with Minimum 10 years in NDT and design review
