Job summary

Alstom in Sricity, AP, invites applications for a Site EHS Engineer to lead safety and environmental initiatives on site. You will deploy EHS policies, supervise a local team, and collaborate with manufacturing, platform, and finance functions to reduce risk and protect assets.

You will drive compliance with ISO 14001/45001 and develop emergency plans while engaging with authorities and stakeholders to foster a strong EHS culture at the site.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in industrial safety is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial safety in manufacturing.
• Languages: English, Hindi, Telugu.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
• Understanding local legal requirements.
• Strong teamwork and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Management in achieving EHS objectives and results.
• Drive the implementation of EHS policies and improvement plans.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Prepare and maintain emergency plans at the site level.
• Ensure sub-contractor activities comply with EHS standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local EHS team.
• Develop and maintain the site’s EHS management system.
• Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Drive EHS continuous improvement and foster a strong EHS culture.
• Report, investigate, and analyze accidents/incidents and share lessons learned.

Your future role

• Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, collaborative, and driven teammates.
• You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors, while minimizing environmental impacts and protecting Alstom's assets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Manufacturing, Platform, and Finance), engage with local authorities and stakeholders, and lead the implementation of EHS policies and practices at the site level.
• You’ll specifically take care of deploying EHS management systems and ensuring compliance with statutory and company standards, but also develop and foster a strong EHS culture across the site.

• Language: English, Hindi, Telugu (Preferable)
• Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Deep knowledge of local legal requirements
• Teamwork and leadership skills
