Job summary

Alstom in Sri City, TN, IN, is seeking a Site EHS Engineer to lead the EHS program, ensuring safe and healthy conditions for workers and contractors while reducing environmental impact. You will deploy EHS management systems, enforce standards, and collaborate with manufacturing, finance, and local authorities on site-level policies and culture.

You will drive continuous EHS improvements, supervise the local EHS team, and develop strong EHS practices across the site to support Alstom’s safety

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in industrial safety is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Safety from manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Deep knowledge of local legal requirements.
• Teamwork and leadership skills.
• Initiative and action-driven mindset.

• Drive the implementation of EHS policies and improvement plans.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Prepare and maintain emergency plans at the site level.
• Ensure sub-contractor activities comply with EHS standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local EHS team.
• Develop and maintain the site's EHS management system.
• Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Drive EHS continuous improvement and foster a strong EHS culture.
• Report, investigate, and analyze accidents/incidents and share lessons learned.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, collaborative, and driven teammates.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors, while minimizing environmental impacts and protecting Alstom's assets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Manufacturing, Platform, and Finance), engage with local authorities and stakeholders, and lead the implementation of EHS policies and practices at the site level.

You’ll specifically take care of deploying EHS management systems and ensuring compliance with statutory and company standards, but also develop and foster a strong EHS culture across the site.

We’ll look to you for:

• Deep knowledge of local legal requirements
