JOB DESCRIPTION- Senior Engineer- Site design co-ordination (Civil)
MAIN OBJECTIVE: To take the lead on delivering GFC drawings to clients as per the project schedule and ensuring that details are implemented as per drawings for the allotted projects
REPORTS TO:Team Leader Site design co-ordination
FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH:

- Site design co-ordination

- Ability to work closely with client teams and ensure that details are implemented as per drawings for the allotted projects
- Maintain appropriate communication channels to ensure that changes / issues at site are communicated back to the architectural team and appropriate action is taken

KEY PORTFOLIO AREAS (PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY):
Drawing Checking and delivery
- Checking of all GFC drawings for the allotted projects
- Ensuring timely movement of drawings for the allotted projects
- Ensuring that details are implemented as per drawings for the allotted projects
- Verification of setbacks and site accordance to statutory requirements. Report back any discrepancy to design team for due correction.
Site supervision
- Clarification and Interpretation of drawings to contractor/Client with help from Design team.
- Quality issues to be documented and escalated as relevant
- Feedback and Communication to design team
- Day to day feedback and coordination with relevant architect team
- Ensuring that any changes / issues at site are communicated back to the architectural team and a fresh drawing issued to site
- Reporting to the architects any modification that may be required and bottlenecks if any.
Site Meetings
- Attending all on-site meetings between client, PMC team and consultants
- Capturing queries outlined
- Progress update
- Update to architectural team on progress at site
- Work with architectural team to resolve queries by the Client/PMC/Consultants
Client relationship
- Building a good rapport with the relevant client representative of the allotted project
- Maintaining communication between the Client and design team
- Send periodic reports to Team Lead about project progress, contractor issues, consultant issues etc
Team Management
- Conducting team members appraisals as per performance appraisals cycle
- Conduct training for team members on relevant areas of work
- Identifying raw talent (Engineers)
- Grooming talent to take on new responsibilities
