Responsibilities

• Review structural/architectural/MEP drawings, raise RFIs/Queries for missing details
• Oversee efficient operation of the analog design process and ensure quality and completeness of design
• Monitor value engineering from concept to construction by tracking steel and concrete consumption
• Maintain design discipline and methodologies for easy construction
• Conduct design reviews and cross-trade coordination workshops with consultants and contractors
• Coordinate with Structural, Design Architects, MEP consultants and in-house teams for timely VFC drawings
• Oversee shop drawings submission, construction proposals, method statements and progress against schedule
• Lead long-lead item identification with procurement and workshops for technical clarifications to subcontractors/suppliers
• Coordinate with Temporary Works design for formworks and plant/machinery like cranes and safety screens
• Manage design budget and cost updates, including design variations
• Initiate soil investigation work and coordinate with structural/geo-technical consultants for foundations

Job description

• 1. Perform constructive review of Structural / Architectural / MEP drawings to ensure that all details are available and raising RFIs / Queries for missing details and additional detail requirement.
• 2.Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the analog design process and its continuous improvement, quality and completeness of design.
• 3.Reviewing structural drawings & designs to ensure that Value Engineering is a continuous process from concept stage till actual construction for all the projects, by monitoring the Steel and Concrete Consumption factors.
• 4.Maintaining the most effective methodology and design discipline for easy construction
• 5.Conducting technical workshops for Design Review & Cross trade coordination with various consultants and contractors. Monitoring progress and control quality for Design submittals in order to meet critical path baseline program controls
• 6.Coordination with various consultants such as Structural consultant, Design architects & MEP consultants and in house team for timely delivery of coordinated VFC drawings to site.
• 7.Coordination with contractors and follow-ups for shop drawings submission, construction proposals, method statements submittals. Oversee Design progress against Design Deliverable schedule and Project Schedule
• 8.Involved in establishing long lead items with procurement for advance planning, including:- Conducting workshops for technical clarifications to various subcontractor/suppliers Expediting Architectural samples and material submittals for finishes
• 9.Responsible for coordinating with Temporary works design for various System Formworks and Plant / Machinery like Tower Cranes, Derrick Cranes, Material Hoist and Auto Climbing Safety screen.
• 10.Responsible for design budget and costing including updating of design variations throughout the project cycle.
• 11.Initiate soil investigation work for the requirement of structural design & coordinate with structural consultant & Geo technical consultant for the right selection of foundation / pile / rock anchors etc designs.
• 12.Administer drawing management system (DMS) with proper maintaining of latest / superseded soft copy drawings in the server and ensuring Hard copy VFC dwgs are issued to contractors and site team.
