Job summary

Jumbo Consultants in Pune is seeking an experienced SIOP & Production Planner for Tier-1 automotive or high-mix manufacturing. The role requires 5–10 years of hands-on experience in SIOP/S&OP, PPC, production planning, capacity planning, demand planning and inventory control.

Location starts in Pune, with relocation to Chennai after 1.5 years permanent. The ideal candidate will drive the monthly SIOP process, analyse forecasts and prepare MPS and schedules, coordinating with multiple functions

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in SIOP/production planning in Tier-1 automotive or high-mix manufacturing.
• Experience in S&OP, PPC, production planning, capacity planning, demand planning and inventory control.
• Strong hands-on experience with Excel and Power BI for MIS reporting.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Drive the monthly SIOP/S&OP process, including demand and supply reviews.
• Analyze customer forecasts, schedules, EDI requirements and demand fluctuations.
• Prepare MPS, production plans and daily/weekly schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Conduct capacity planning for machines, manpower, tooling and bottleneck resources.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Sales, Logistics and suppliers.
• Ensure availability of materials and optimize RM, WIP and FG inventory.
• Monitor customer delivery performance and achieve OTIF targets.
• Track production plan vs. actual, schedule adherence, inventory turns and forecast accuracy.
• Support MRP, JIT, Kanban, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare MIS reports, SIOP dashboards and capacity/inventory reports using Excel/Power BI.
