Job summary

Source-Right seeks a Simulation Engineer to design and analyze factory simulations using DELMIA, optimizing production flow and resource use.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate throughput, cycle times, and bottlenecks, building digital twins for Industry 4.0 initiatives in an Indian manufacturing setting.

Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics required, with strong DES and DELMIA experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with discrete event simulation in manufacturing settings.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience with DELMIA Domain and 3DEXPERIENCE Flow Simulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain factory flow simulation models using DELMIA to represent production lines.
• Analyze manufacturing processes, cycle times, throughput, resource utilization, and bottlenecks.
• Run what-if scenario simulations for capacity, layout changes, workforce allocation, and logistics strategies.
• Identify bottlenecks, line balancing, and system constraints to improve productivity.
• Model and simulate material handling systems such as conveyors, buffers, and AGVs.
• Validate simulation models using MES/ERP/time studies to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Overall Responsibilities And Duties

The main missions of the role are:

• Develop and maintain factory flow simulation models using DELMIA (3DEXPERIENCE) to represent production lines, assembly systems, and internal logistics.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and material flow, including cycle times, throughput, resource utilization, and bottlenecks to improve operational efficiency.
• Perform what-if scenario simulations to evaluate production capacity, layout changes, workforce allocation, and logistics strategies.
• Identify and optimize bottlenecks, line balancing, and system constraints to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time and WIP.
• Model and simulate material handling systems such as conveyors, buffers, and AGVs to ensure smooth and efficient flow.
• Validate simulation models using real production data (MES/ERP/time studies) to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Support factory layout design and optimization, including greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring efficient space utilization and flow.
• Create and maintain digital twins of manufacturing systems to support virtual validation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree in: Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mechatronics

Skills and competencies –

• Strong knowledge of Discrete Event Simulation (DES)
• Hands-on experience with:
• DELMIA / 3DEXPERIENCE Flow Simulation
• Build complex factory simulation models
• Define logic for processes, resources, and flows
• Cycle time analysis
• Throughput calculation
• Queue and buffer behavior
