We are looking for a highly creative and social-first Short-Form Video Creator / Production Specialist to ideate, shoot, edit, and deliver engaging video content for digital and social media channels. This role is suited for a Mumbai-based freelance creator or small production team capable of taking content from concept to final delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of short-form storytelling and the ability to create authentic, engaging content that feels native to platforms such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts rather than traditional advertising. The role requires hands-on production capability, creative initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work with real people and fast-moving on-ground environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Ideate and develop concepts for social-first short-form video content.
• Plan and execute end-to-end video production, from concept and scripting through shooting, editing, and final delivery.
• Produce approximately 8–10 short-form videos per month across multiple formats.
• Shoot high-quality footage for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant digital channels.
• Create engaging 15–30 second reels, 30–60 second storytelling videos, interviews, talking-head videos, POV content, and observational videos.
• Capture behind-the-scenes stories, employee experiences, customer interactions, commuter moments, and brand-related content.
• Conduct quick interviews, vox pops, testimonials, and on-ground content captures.
• Identify interesting real-world moments and transform them into compelling short-form stories.
• Adapt relevant social media trends while ensuring content remains authentic and aligned with the brand.
• Edit footage into polished, platform-appropriate short-form videos with strong pacing, hooks, transitions, captions, sound, and visual storytelling.
• Work collaboratively with the internal brand team on ideation, feedback, approvals, and content refinement.
• Manage multiple shoot requirements and production timelines efficiently.
• Be available for both planned shoots and occasional short-notice production requirements.
• Handle different shoot formats, including full-day testimonial shoots and shorter event or on-ground captures.
• Maintain consistent production quality across a high-volume monthly content pipeline.
• Manage footage, project files, edits, revisions, and final deliverables in an organised manner.
• Ensure final videos are optimised for the required platforms, aspect ratios, durations, and specifications.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 3+ years of experience in video production, content creation, filmmaking, social media content, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating short-form video and social-first content.
• Proven ability to independently take a video project from ideation to shooting, editing, and final delivery.
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and current short-form content formats.
• Excellent visual storytelling, editing, pacing, composition, and creative judgement.
• Comfortable creating a diverse range of content, from observational and documentary-style videos to humour, interviews, POVs, and trend-led content.
• Strong ability to work with non-performers, including employees, customers, commuters, and other real people on camera.
• Own professional camera, audio, lighting, and production equipment suitable for lightweight and fast-moving shoots.
• Ability to work efficiently during both full-day productions and short 2–3 hour event or on-ground shoots.
• Strong editing skills using professional video-editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
• Social-media-native mindset with an understanding of hooks, retention, trends, and audience engagement.
• Strong organisation and ability to consistently deliver multiple videos within tight timelines.
• Reliable, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working closely with brand and marketing teams.
• Mumbai-based and available for regular on-ground production across Mumbai and surrounding areas.
