Role Overview

We are looking for an SEO-focused Shopify Developer with 1–2 years of experience to build, customize, and maintain Shopify websites that are search-engine friendly, fast, and conversion‑ready. The primary responsibility of this role is to implement technical SEO correctly within Shopify, while supporting performance optimization and front‑end development.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement technical SEO best practices on Shopify websites, including clean URLs, canonical tags, meta tags, structured data, schema markup, and indexation control
• Ensure websites are crawlable, indexable, and SEO‑ready across product, collection, and landing pages
• Support internal linking, pagination, and SEO‑friendly navigation structures
• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Implement Shopify Online Store 2.0 features such as sections and JSON templates
• Build and maintain product pages, collection pages, and landing pages as per SEO and UX requirements
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code following Shopify best practices
• Assist in optimizing website speed and Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP)
• Reduce render‑blocking scripts and optimize images and assets
• Ensure mobile‑first design and cross‑browser compatibility
• Implement UX best practices for product discovery, Add‑to‑Cart flow, checkout, upsells, and cross‑sells
• Support A/B testing using Shopify‑compatible tools
• Install, configure, and maintain Shopify apps, ensuring minimal SEO and performance impact
• Assist with basic API integrations using Shopify Admin API and Storefront API
• Support implementation and validation of GA4, GTM, and Meta Pixel
• Ensure accurate eCommerce event tracking (View Item, Add to Cart, Begin Checkout, Purchase)
• Fix bugs, deploy enhancements, and maintain Shopify stores
• Collaborate closely with SEO, UI/UX, performance marketing, product, and operations teams
• Maintain documentation for SEO implementations, theme customizations, and integrations

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in Shopify development
• Strong understanding of technical SEO for eCommerce websites
• Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience working with Shopify Online Store 2.0
• Working knowledge of Core Web Vitals and page speed optimization
• Experience installing and managing Shopify apps with SEO awareness
• Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and basic eCommerce tracking
• Exposure to Shopify APIs, Git/version control, and Shopify CLI
• Experience using Lighthouse, GTmetrix, and browser debugging tools
• Understanding of mobile‑first UX, cross‑browser compatibility, and accessibility basics
• Ability to independently research and troubleshoot technical issues using documentation and debugging tools
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams

Pay Range

2 to 4 LPA

Work Schedule

• 10 am to 7 pm
• Monday to Saturday (2nd and 4th Saturdays Off; 1st and 3rd Saturdays WFH)
