Shopify Developer + Designer (Full-Stack Shopify, Remote)

Role Overview

We’re hiring a single-owner Shopify Developer + Designer who can design pages and build the store end-to-end — from layouts and section design to Liquid development and QA. You should be equally confident in clean coding and strong creative decisions.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Design high-converting Shopify pages: Home, Collection, Product, Landing pages (layout, spacing, typography, UX flow)
• Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid + HTML + CSS + JavaScript
• Create reusable, CMS-driven sections (Online Store 2.0) with clean schema/settings
• Implement advanced UI components: sliders, tabs, accordions, sticky ATC, filters, popups, badges, etc.
• Ensure pixel-perfect responsiveness across desktop/tablet/mobile
• Optimize for performance (LCP, image loading, minimal JS, clean CSS, fast sections)
• QA and bug‑fix across browsers/devices, maintain code quality, version control best practices
• Coordinate directly with founders/clients: understand requirements, propose solutions, deliver independently

Must-Have Skills (Non‑Negotiable)

• Strong Shopify development experience (theme customization + custom sections)
• Excellent coding knowledge in:
  • Shopify Liquid
  • HTML / CSS (responsive, modern layout)
  • JavaScript (DOM, events, UI behavior)
• Proven ability to build clean, scalable, reusable theme components
• Strong UI/UX sense: spacing, hierarchy, typography, design consistency
• Ability to handle projects independently: planning → execution → delivery

Good to Have (Big Plus)

• Figma understanding (exporting assets, translating design to code accurately)
• Experience with CRO‑focused builds (trust UX, quick‑add, upsells, PDP optimization)
• Shopify performance optimization experience
• Familiar with Git, structured code practices, and documentation habits
